Kellie Martin. Martin is an American television and film actress. She is best known for playing Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. She is also known for appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin is born to a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher started her career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin get a part in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more serious. She was able to land important roles in television and big screens. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also an accomplished photographer as well as a ballet dancer. The mother of two daughters and a son, she is also the Lupus ambassador and has been spreading awareness of the illness each day following the passing of her sister, who was 19 years old.
